General Job Description:
Provide administration and support Windows 2000/2003, Active Directory, Exchange, Citrix and VMWare environment. Support infrastructure projects and initiatives. |
|
Responsibilities:
1. Support and maintain the Windows 2000/2003 domain environment. This includes, but is not limited to Windows 2000/2003, IIS, DNS, Domain Printing, and Active Directory.
2. Support and maintain the VMWare environment. This includes, but is not limited to creation of virtual machines, load balancing, monitoring and configuration.
3. Support and maintain the Citrix PS4 environment. This includes, but is not limited to server builds, application installation, load balancing, server monitoring and configuration.
4. Support and maintain the Exchange 2003 email environment. This includes mailbox and public folder management, monitoring the antivirus controls, email archival and managing email message delivery including Blackberry devices.
5. Provide assistance to the applications group for application troubleshooting and support.
6. Monitor computer and server activity including system load, response time, available disk space, and user activities to ensure that systems are working properly and that no unauthorized activity is taking place.
7. Upgrade systems software as needed to ensure secure, reliable, and stable operation of servers and related equipment. Test and implement all vendor-supplied patches and fixes to systems to ensure the security and reliability of such systems. Maintain license compliance on all responsible systems.
8. Adhere to all Birds Eye Foods company and department policies and procedures. |

Applicant Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training with at least 2 years of direct hands on administrator experience in a Windows 2000 or 2003 Active Directory Environment, with focus on application support.
• Hands on experience with Microsoft Exchange, Citrix Presentation Server and VMWare preferred.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds with no restrictions. Must be able to physically assist with server moves and equipment relocation.
• Must be a self-starter with strong problem solving and analytical skills. Proven ability to address challenges and work with a results-orientated team. Must be comfortable working in a project driven environment. Individual must be able to clearly identify objectives and meet end goals. |
