Apple Toffee Pecan Pie

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 cup cold butter or margarine, cut into chunks
1   egg
1/3 cup toffee bits
2   eggs
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1  Tbsp. melted butter
1/3 cup corn syrup
1  cup pecans
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1  can (21 ounces) Comstock® or Wilderness® More Fruit Apple Fruit Filling
1  carton (8 ounces) refrigerated whipped topping
 Whole pecans for decorating

Directions:

1. Crust: In food processor combine flour, sugar, salt, butter, and egg; pulse until butter is chopped to the size of peas.
2. Empty mixture into bowl and stir in toffee bits.
3. Press into greased 9-inch pie plate.
4. Filling: In medium bowl, combine eggs, sugar, salt, butter, and corn syrup. Beat with electric mixer until light and fluffy.
5. Stir in pecans. Pour mixture into crust.
6. Bake in preheated 350ºF oven for 30 minutes or until done (test with knife).
7. Remove from oven and spread apple filling over top.
8. Return to oven for 10 minutes. Allow to cool.
9. Decorate with whipped topping and whole pecans.

Makes 8 servings

Bake time: 40 minutes
