SIGNATURE RECIPES

Here in the Midwest, word gets around fast about great recipes, and the word on these dishes is that they just aren’t the same without Freshlike. Try all three; then create your own Freshlike signature dishes!

Classic Spinach Dip
PREP: 5 minutes CHILL: 2 hours

1 pkg (10 oz.) Freshlike® Frozen Chopped Spinach, cooked according to package directions and drained
1 container (16 oz.) sour cream
1 cup mayonnaise
1 pkg. vegetable soup mix (such as Knorr®)
1 can (8 oz.) water chestnuts, drained and chopped (optional)
3 green onions, chopped

 

1. In medium bowl stir spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, soup mix,
water chestnuts, and green onions until well mixed.

2. Cover; chill 2 hours to blend flavors.

3. Stir well. If desired, spoon into round bread bowl.
Serve with cut up vegetables or chips.

Spinach & Cheese Dip: Add 2 cups (8 oz.) shredded Swiss cheese with spinach.

Low Fat Yogurt Spinach Dip: Substitute 1 container (16 oz.) plain low fat yogurt for sour cream.

Classic Green Bean Casserole
PREP: 10 minutes COOK: 30 minutes

1 can (10 3/4 oz.) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. soy sauce
Dash pepper
(39 oz.) Freshlike® Cut Green Beans, drained;
or 1 pkg. (16 oz.) Freshlike® Frozen Cut Green Beans,
thawed and drained
1 1/3 cups French’s® French Fried Onions

1. In 1 1/2-qt. casserole, mix soup, milk, soy sauce, pepper,green beans, and 2/3 cup onions.

2. Bake at 350°F, 25 minutes or until hot.

3. Stir. Sprinkle remaining 2/3 cup onions over bean mixture. Bake 5 minutes or until onions are golden.

Southwestern Soup
Corn and peppers give this colorful soup its zesty flavor.
PREP: 1 to 2 minutes COOK: 10 to 12 minutes

1 package (16 oz.) Freshlike® Frozen Corn
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
2 cans (15 oz. each) chili
1 cup hot water

 

1. Combine all ingredients in saucepan.

2. Cook over medium heat 10 to 12 minutes.
