Why should I download Fridge-It®?
Fridge-It® delivers fresh recipe content to your desktop daily. Just click the BE icon in your computer’s system tray to view the daily recipe.

Does Fridge-It® contain any "spyware" or "adware"?
No. Fridge-It® does not contain any spyware or adware.

Will Fridge-It® be used to monitor my online activities?
No, Fridge-It® is a notification tool that provides you with fresh content from Birds Eye® websites. Additionall, the Fridge-It® application does not store any personal information.

I want links on the Fridge-It® to open in Firefox or Internet Explorer. Can I do that?
Yes. Links will open in the browser that's set to be your default Web browser. You can set your default browser using the Tools menu in your browser. For Internet Explorer from tools, select Internet Options, and use the Programs tab. For Firefox from Tools, select Options, Main, System Defaults.

How do I hide Fridge-It®?
The Fridge-It® will automatically hide itself once it has been displayed for a minute. To hide it faster, simply click on the Fridge-It® icon on your systems tray.

How do I exit the Fridge-It®?
To exit, right-click anywhere on the Fridge-It® System Tray icon and choose "Quit".

Once I quit the Fridge-It®, how can I get it back?
The application will re-start each time you start your PC. Or, select the Fridge-It® on your Start, All Programs menu.


What are the minimum system requirements for a Fridge-It®?
In order to use the Fridge-It® you must have Windows® 2000 or XP, Pentium® II Class CPU, 128Mb RAM and 10MB of available hard disk space. You will also be required to have Flash installed. If you do not have Flash installed and you go to the World of Birds Eye site to download the Fridge-It® you will be walked through the process of installing the required version of Flash.

Fridge-It® requires an internet connection. You may need to grant Fridge-It® access to the internet in order to allow it to communicate with the Birds Eye® servers to receive the daily recipe information.

Does Fridge-It® work on Windows 98, ME or NT4?
No. Fridge-It® only runs on Windows® 2000 and XP.

Will the Fridge-It® work on a MAC?
No, the Fridge-It® can only be used on a PC running Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

Will the Fridge-It® work on a PC with Windows Vista?
No, the Fridge-It® can only be used on a PC running Windows 2000 or Windows XP.

Will the Fridge-It® impact my computer's performance?
No, the Fridge-It® has very little impact on your overall system performance. On average, the Fridge-It® uses less than 10 MB of memory when running.


How long does it take to download and install the Fridge-It® application?
This will depend on your Internet connection type and speed. With a broadband (Cable, DSL, etc.) connection the download and installation should take less than two minutes.

Why won’t the Fridge-It® download at work?
To install the Fridge-It® you will need to install software on your PC. In some cases, such as a controlled corporate network, you may not have the proper system privileges to do so. Check with your system administrator if you are unsure.

Why doesn’t anything happen when I click to download the Fridge-It®?
Please check to make sure that you do not have your Pop-Up blocker turned on. You can find out if your Pop-Up blocker is on by opening your Internet Explorer and clicking on ‘Tools’. If you have an option to ‘Turn Off Pop-Up Blocker’, your pop-up blocker is on and you need to click this to turn it off.

How do I uninstall Fridge-It®?
If you want to permanently remove Fridge-It® from your computer follow these steps:
  1. Shut down the Fridge-It® (Right click on the BE Logo in the SysTray and select quit)
  2. Go to "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Add/ Remove Programs" > Click on "Birds Eye Fridge-It®" to begin the uninstall process.
  3. Restart your computer.
NOTE: If the process fails to complete remove all files, that is, you receive a prompt to install Fridge-It® again on startup, then do the following.
  1. Click 'Cancel'.
  2. Open Windows Explorer, and delete the directory "C:\Program Files\Birds Eye Fridge-It". Doing this will uninstall Fridge-It® from your computer.

How frequently can I expect to receive new recipes?
Once a day when a new recipe is available the Fridge-It® icon on systems tray will blink. To see recipes, simply click on the icon and then the Fridge-It®. Just click on the icon once to stop the blinking.

What should I do if my Fridge-It® doesn’t update with a new recipe each day?
Check your security settings to ensure the daily updates are not being blocked and ensure that you have internet access. If this is not the issue, restart your computer.

Why does my Fridge-It® only display the Scallops recipe?
It may be because you are not connected to the internet. Please confirm that you can access other sites (ex.http://www.cnn.com). If you do have internet access, please try restarting your computer to correct the problem.
